AUTO-PILOT'S MANUAL: VIII.

1. In learning the controls, your job will make you aware of the various parts and functions of your craft in increasing detail.

2. When a part or function is in disorder, it at once means that it has lost contact with the control room or that it has not developed the contact.

3. The emergency steps, perhaps, the only steps required are:
a. Get back to the control room.
b. Stay there and report accurately all the positive and negative findings of your craft, item by item.

4. Isolate the part and do not allow the disturbance to spread to the rest of the craft.

5. Induce peace and joy and gratitude and love into all the parts unaffected and then into the parts affected.

6. Even in the midst of a disorder, let your craft express gratitude, love, oneness, joy and thankfulness towards all that comes to awareness, to the best of the ability of the craft.

7. Remember that in fulfilling the work of expressing love, oneness, thankfulness, joy, positive speech, truth lies the total well-being of the craft.

Master one key-word, a master-switch which by repeated use operates control over the whole craft and in detail, too. The word will act like a main-switch. Remember that the Hijacker is always setting fire to the craft, your house: signs of anger, depression, frustration, etc., are the signs of the smoke. All these lead to disease and death for all suicides are always extreme end results of these emotions.

Just as when a house is on fire, the first thing is to switch off the mains, and to direct jets of water on the fire, it is good to have a master-word whose use at the slightest sign of smoke will bring the fire-fighting equipment instantaneously into action.

SERVICE YOUR CAR - Part I

When you run your car a hundred miles or so you park it and get it cleaned up of all the dust it has accumulated on the road.

At the end of your day's journey your body acquires a lot of dust - memories, incidents - give it a clean up with prayer, love or gratitude and thankfulness. Don't let dust accumulate and spread around. You, as happily the driver of your own car, called the body, must show love to your body by a clean up at least once a day. May be you prefer a week. Be it so - but don't complain if your body becomes prematurely old, creaky or rusty if left unserviced.

"Doctor, will I get addicted to the sleeping tablets you prescribed?"

Insomnia or login to sleep illustration - fritsAhlefeldt.com
"No, you are already addicted, you see, you are addicted to eight hours sleep. If you don't get it you rave and shout as if the heavens have fallen."

You don't sleep well because you are addicted to the idea that the world is created to revolve around your little finger, and if it doesn't you lie awake ruminating on this, to you, unnatural order of things. Your addiction to drugs is based on your stupid egocentric addictions to expecting the world to rotate at your will.

A little humility and a little gratitude for things that go well may be the best tranquiliser.

Ego's other name is addiction.

They said that a person died of an accident. It is more correct to say that a person lived by accident.

Man thinks that his keeping alive is due to his cleverness and all else is an accident. A few might be impelled to look for certainty beyond the concept of certainty offered by statistical treatment of accident.

THANKS GIVING

This is to thank you and you who sowed these thoughts in me and woken me up to new horizons in human health:

Krishna; Buddha; Christ; Ramakrishna; Ramana Maharshi; Krishnamurthi; Alice in Wonderland; Winnie Pooh the bear of little brains; Ivan Illych; Schumacher; Hertzog who scaled the Annapurna; Scott who lies buried in the Antarctic, as a living symbol to show the near irrelevance of Vitamin C to how a human being can behave; Lawrence of Arabia who investigated the question of hunger and thirst and walking barefoot on hot sands; President Kennedy , who with an injured back swam the sea to save fellow-men in utter ignorance of facts like pH values of blood as measured in a hospital bed; Mihir Sen; to the men  who have trained themselves to defy gravity and soar into space; and all those who in their different pursuits gave expression to man's urge to exceed himself, and dared to break through the gravity of professional and doctrinal dissertations on what man can and cannot do - all these and others, who explore the behavioural space of man.

To Sri Aurobindo and Mother Mira who give content and meaning to my work and set me on the road in quest of personal autonomy.
