YOU ARE NOT A RIGID BODY

(1) A thing you see- e.g. a tree-is split into different wave lengths and enters you-eyes, ears, skin, tongue, etc.
(2) Then, entering the brain it is further splitting- the visual impulses go to the back of the head & the hearing to the side of the head, touch to the top of the head, smell to the base of the head and so on.
So what is so solid about the tree? A dog sees differently.
(3) Then the way they combine in the brain is dominated by the glue of habit.
Otherwise there is no connection between different parts of your own body let alone the tree.
In disease or injury or influence of drugs you may be convinced your arm is in another room or you have limbs when you have none.
E.g. phantom limb.
IMAGINATION IS THE BASIS OF ALL PERCEPTION & ACTION
